7.13 Block Media form certain countries
In this release, we are pleased to introduce the ability to block media originating from selected countries. A list of blocked countries can be configured. When a search is performed, Pascal will disregard articles from the countries noted in the list. This ensures results align with your policies and reduces work on irrelevant articles due to their origin.
How It Works
To use this new feature, the below guidelines can be followed:
- As an Owner or Admin, open the menu in the top right corner and click on Settings.
- In the Screening section, navigate to the Policies page.
- Locate the Media options card for the Blocked countries option.
- Use the countries dropdown to specify countries to be blocked.

- To finish, click Save and thereafter select the preferred behaviour for the existing cases.
How It's Beneficial
- Clarity - Keeps your media monitoring focused on what is important by removing content from irrelevant origin.
- Efficiency - Reduces noise in results so teams spend less time filtering and more time acting on meaningful information.
