7.5 Email notification for mentions in comments

In this update, we introduce the option to receive email notifications for when someone mentions you in hit comments.  

When you are being mentioned by someone, done by typing '@name' in the comment, you will receive an email to notify you of this comment. Within the email notification you can quickly navigate to that comment by simply clicking on the comment links.  

Receiving email notifications is an optional setting in the Notifications page in the Your account section. 

 

How It Works 

The new option Receive notifications via email when you are mentioned by other users is default set to Daily. Changing this setting can be done by following the below steps:  

  1. Click on your initials in the top right corner. 
  2. Click on Settings
  3. In the left settings menu, navigate to the Notifications page in the Your account section. 
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to reach the option Receive notifications via email when you are mentioned by other users.
  5. Click inside the dropdown to select your preferred preference: Daily, Weekly, or Never.7.5 Email notification for mentions in comments 1

 

How It's Beneficial 

  • Flexibility: Users have full control over how they stay informed when tagged in a comment, by choosing the notification method that best fits their workflow and preferred way of how to stay in touch when they are being tagged in comment by other users. 
  • Efficiency: Notifications are more clearly seen by users when they are not using Pascal on a daily basis by receiving the notifications via email as well as in-app.
