Setup guide - HubSpot
How to install the Pascal app in HubSpot
From the HubSpot Marketplace, you can connect Pascal's app in your HubSpot environment. This allows you to create a new Pascal account. Utilising the Pascal app in HubSpot allows you to directly create cases to screen from your HubSpot records.
To make a connection with an already existing Pascal account, connect the integration from the Integrations page in Pascal. Details of these steps are noted How to connect your HubSpot account to your Pascal account.
- Navigate to the Pascal app on the HubSpot Marketplace.
- While logged in, press the Install button.
- Choose the HubSpot account the app should be connected to.
- An overview of the Pascal app in HubSpot is given, where you can click on the Connect app button.
- Create your Pascal account:
- Choose the Free or Premium plan option to get started.
- Select the Screening categories to include in your account.
- Fill in your account details & the organisation details.
- When setting up a Premium account, a payment method setup is prompted.
- Confirm the account creation with the Confirm order button.
- After you verify your email in your inbox, you will be redirected to the Pascal app page in HubSpot.
Add country property for contacts and companies
Result quality increases significantly when searching with a name and country. We highly recommend to add the country property for contacts and companies.
- Go to the Contacts page in HubSpot.
- Select the Create contact button.
- Click on Edit this form in the top right corner.
- Select Add properties in the left sidebar.
- Open the section Contact information.
- Select the checkbox Country/Region.
- The new field shows up in the preview of the contact form on the right. To reorder the fields drag the Country/Region field up, and let go just below Last name. This is useful as you can then quickly fill in the contact's first name, last name and country when adding a contact to your HubSpot environment.
- Optionally, you can make the field Country/Region required, so no one in your environment can forget to fill in this field. You can do this by selecting the * button while hovering over the field.
- Click on the Save button in the top right corner.
These steps can also be followed to add the country property to companies.
Enable notes for all users
When cases are created for HubSpot contacts or companies, notes of the results and a report about the check is added. It is useful to make sure that all users in HubSpot can see these results and the attached report.
Add or change the permission for users to view all notes in the HubSpot environment. If you are not sure how to do this, use the HubSpot documentation to achieve this.
If notes are not enabled for all users, users cannot see case screening information in the notes from each other.
Make Pascal's cards visible
To make sure the case information is visible in the HubSpot contact or company page, the card can be added to the views preferred.
More information on how to do this can be found here: How to set up Pascal's cards in your HubSpot views.
Add Pascal's properties to contact and company information
When you add the Pascal application to your HubSpot account, additional Pascal properties become available.
These available properties are:
| Property | Value |
| Case assignee | Shows the current user or group assigned to the case |
| Case last searched | Shows the last date the case was screened for new results |
| Case status | Shows the current status of the case |
| Sanctions | Shows the number of unresolved sanction hits in the case |
| Enforcements | Shows the number of unresolved enforcement hits in the case |
| PEPs | Shows the number of unresolved PEP hits in the case |
| Media | Shows the number of unresolved media hits in the case |
Details on how to add these properties to record overviews and record lists, can be found here: How to configure useful properties in HubSpot.
HubSpot workflows with Pascal
Workflows can be set up to achieve a variety of automations. Several Pascal actions are available to create and manage cases in workflows. The Pascal properties allow actions to follow when Pascal properties include specific values.
-
Within a workflow with the Object type Contact, Person cases can be created and managed for the specific contact going through the workflow.
-
Within a workflow with the Object type Company, Business cases can be created and managed for the specific company going through the workflow.
